Ratings Report:

  • ABC comedies all had their finales last night, leading the network to tie the night overall with NBC. The season finale of ROSEANNE drew the highest marks of the night at 2.4, although it was down two tenths from last week, and a season-low number for the revived comedy. The series finale of THE MIDDLE, however, ended on a high note. The family oriented comedy ended its 9-year run with a 1.7 amongst 18-49s, three tenths up from its last episode. SPLITTING UP TOGETHER (1.0) and Shonda-drama FOR THE PEOPLE (0.5) each ended their seasons with numbers identical to last week.
  • On NBC, THE VOICE rounded out its latest season with its lowest-ever finale rating, earning a 1.5 for the night, while over at the CW, THE FLASH ended its season a tenth up from last week, scoring a 0.8, but down three tenths from its 2016-17 season closer, when it earned a 1.1. THE 100 was down a tenth to 0.3.
  • CBS’ season ender for NCIS drew the largest audience of the night, with 11.8 million viewers, down slightly from last week, but matching its 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The premiere of 48 HOURS: NCIS drew a 0.5.

Of Note:

  • Similar to last week, the NBA conference finals held onto their place atop the ratings yet again, as ESPN’s live broadcast of the Boston vs Cleveland game scored the top spot of the night with a 3.1 and 7.78 million viewers. A late night wrap up of SPORTSCENTER followed behind, scoring a 1.1, while LOVE AND HIP HOP: ATLANTA on VH1 rounded out the top three, maintaining its 1.0 rating for a third week in a row.
  • Usual Monday night topper, WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW peaked at 0.9 this week, a tenth lower than last week’s peak of 1.0 during the 3-hour broadcast. Elsewhere on cable, the second week of Bravo’s BASKETBALL WIVES fell a tenth, earning a 0.8 this time around.
